Command and Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath > Starcraft 64 > Halo Wars, in terms of console RTS games

But I am willing to give Halo Wars 2 a shot if they fix many of the issues that the first game has.

I seen something on this a few days ago and the source said it was going to be multiplatform for (insert reason here). Unless microsoft is only keeping the main halo games on the xbox I don't see it being Halo wars.

Halo Wars is the only RTS i've played. It was only really fun when Camnator brought me back to it and we floored people. Other than that I liked the cutscenes.

I would have preferred something similar to "Star Wars Battlefront"

I've tossed around my hat in other RTS's before. And, while sure thing, one could say Halo Wars was baby's first RTS, there was something arguably quality about it.

And there's proof of that because Halo Wars is still played on the console today. While it has a small population, 2000 players or more for such a dated game, an RTS ont he console no less, is proof of that.

Halo Wars has single handedly outlasted every other console RTS ever made for the 360 and is still going today which I think is a testament to the game. Sure, it had it's flaws. But the fact that it's beaten and outlasted all the other console RTS's that came out for the 360 before it say's something.

I'd be fucking stoked for another Halo Wars.

Still doesn't play better than Kane's Wrath however.

Halo Wars can be fun but my friends and I found more enjoyment out of Kane's Wrath because its polished much better and has way more key RTS elements into it for a console game.

Ignoring RUSE, Supreme Commander 2, EndWar and Commandos 2 (All of those on console), yes

And whilst i'd say Halo Wars is best overall, RUSE was absolutely brilliant, it's one of my top 360 games ever

Wars was okay. It certainly isn't the best RTS on consoles though, as there's objectively better ones.
If the sequel is more like how HW was originally supposed to be then I'll be happy.

If they don't put it on PC and actually make a game like that to its full potential I will be pissed. The Halo Wars that was shown back in E3 was amazing looking, I'd imagine free build was disabled because the 360 couldn't handle it.

It was changed because their design director left after that E3 and a new guy took over shortly after. The pallet swaps for the units are also attributed to this.
