I've put a ton of hours into it so far and have reached the max rank you can get to in it. These are the thoughts I have on it:
The Good
- Gameplay is still the same as you'd expect from CoD. If you enjoyed Blops 3 you may enjoy this game.
- Hit detection is great
- You can turn off the motion blur and film grain
- Weapons have much better detailed stats
- No melee weapons besides the knife
- Good variety in primary and secondary equipment
- Lots of attachments for the weapons when it comes to sights, grips, etc.
The Bad
- Supply Drops in a Beta
- Severe lack in weapon variety. For example the game only has 5 assault rifles when in previous games you'd have around 9-10.
- Sniper Rifles and SMGs dominate. The sniper rifles are ridiculously overpowered and are way too easy to use. The SMGs have about the same range as ARs too.
- Overpowered weapon variants for certain guns will kill the game in the long run.
- Shittiest maps in CoD history. There's a map that reminds me of Longest from Halo CE. Just one small maze that is a clusterfuck of death.
- Once again, no dedicated servers. It's still P2P based connections.
- The game sometimes looks worse than Blops 3 which is hilarious.
- The weapon camos are absolute dogshit and make you want to puke when you see them.
- The killstreaks are useless besides the UAV and Counter UAV.
After playing this and seeing the game for myself and experience it for myself, there's no way ANYONE can take Infinity Ward serious at this point. The whole "3-year development cycle" is the biggest lie I ever heard. This feels like they spent just a few months making the multiplayer and when you put this game and Blops 3 side by side, Infinite Warfare looks like some Russian knock off of Blops 3.
It's an open beta and I'm already having trouble finding full lobbies and complete games. This game will be completely dead by January, February at the latest.
I don't even think CoD 4 will be able to keep up with BF1 and Titanfall 2. Infinite Warfare may be the final nail in the coffin for CoD.
