Reach is a fine game. The problem was Jono didn't understand that effort and "soul" doesn't always equate to a game's quality, and was saying that because Reach wasn't as good as Halo 3, it had 1/10th the "soul" Halo 3 had. Which is just absurd.

ODST laso is piss easy. I did both laso playlists and the second one I did in 3 hours or something lol

i did legendary under 3 hours for halo 4, so hopefully i remember how to do time/ass-saving tricks

Don't you have to do the triple overshield jump, if you can get to it that is. I've tried that trick before and it's way to difficult for me

Don't you have to do the triple overshield jump, if you can get to it that is. I've tried that trick before and it's way to difficult for me

yeah, it was so hard we lost all motivation and gave up, like 3 hours in

we didnt even attempt it again til months later, and we spent like another 4 hours just to get to that part, and another hour to nail the trick safely

When 343 says that we are getting simpler stories and this is what follows here's what I'm imagining.

In Halo 6 you play as a 13 year old kid  dual weilding Katanas who is Master Chief's apprentice. After like 2 hours of cutting down Elites, Hunters and a fucking guardian, you sit Cortana down and explain to her why genocide and slavery are bad. Everyone is friends again and warden teaches you how to be the ultimate sword master™

Gotta say that I see nothing wrong with this. It wasn't 343 making fun of PTSD, it was Cortana trying to mock and destabilize the spartans any way she could by referring to their past experiences and traumas in an attempt to get to and distract them. That's like saying DC is making fun of orphans and homicide because they have the Joker bringing up Batman's parents dying and laughing about it to throw him off his focus.

And that's the big problem with modern Halo in its main story. Cortana wasn't suppose to be a heartless spineless bitch. That's just not her character at all.

The only way 343 can redeem Halo now is if they reveal that this is a rampant Cortana and that they killed the real one off. Its the only thing that would make any fucking sense at this point.

Honestly, I hate what 343 has done to Halo. Hate it hate it hate it.

Cortana may have been annoying in Halo 3 but Bungie was at least trying to tell the story in a new way without cutting to a cut scene each time, but at least she wasn't a bitch like how she later became one within Halo 4 and 5.

Halo has always had flaws to start with in its story, but the direction 343 took is about as bad as the direction Star Wars took with The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi
