I remember all those matches where the screen would go black and 10 minutes later the game comes back but everyone is dead and the respawn timer would be frozen.

Halo 3 was a fucking shitshow of a game. The story was almost as bad as Halo 5s and it's gunplay IS the worst in the series. All it has going for it was the level design. Forge in Halo 3 sucked ass and everything about forge and custom games was done objectively better from Reach onward. Halo CE and Halo 2 had better tools as well. Halo 3 is an overrated meme game.
