Now that it's gone I want Warzone Firefight back, I did kinda start to enjoy it a bit more in the last few days but it's much more fun than current Warzone options to me and it was a good way to burn off Spartan Kill gambits with no effort

It could've been great. have 10 weeks of a new campaign after launch. Each mission was the same environment from multiplayer maps/campaign areas for the first 5 episodes. Then they made new content for the last 5, and made them feel like actual missions at first, but then had us go back to the same area over and over again.

This is pretty much reverse-firefight: you frantically run around hunting things down with no fear of death.

Reach's firefight as a whole was shit because it completely destroyed what made ODST's Firefight fun, intense, and challenging. Reach's firefight was nothing more than different ways to farm for cR.

Vanilla was okay tbh but only Waterfront was able to replicate the feel of ODST. This was offset by the map being inherently unfun because it was flat out impossible to defend, even with a full team of competent players communicating properly.

Couple this with it being hard to find competent players because they all demand overshields and infinite ammo fuel rod guns to go more than 1 round without burning all the lives, and you have a shit matchmaking experience for those looking for a decent (fun) challenge.

I think another thing that made Reach firefight annoying is that you had to contend with Elites as the main military force rather than Brutes. There's just way more variants of them with more shields that makes it harder to take them out. And as far as I remember, in ODST your stamina recovered faster than the shitty Spartan 3 shields do in Reach. Could be wrong on that though, been ages since I played either.

You guys think this game is going to be dead by October or shortly after it? Dark Souls 3 is already out, DOOM comes out on the 13th, No Mans Sky comes out in June, Gears of War 4 and Battlefield 1 come out in October the Wither 3 DLC comes out some time and there's CoD IW. I just don't see this game retaining a large population by October due to BF1. I see a lot of people going from this game to that and some of them going to Gears 4.

There are people who have both systems you one console peasant.

There isn't really much of a crossover between people who are still playing Halo, people who have an Xbox and a PS4/ PC and people who have interest enough in NMS to pry them away from it.

Chances are, people still playing the game are probably people who like it. Everyone with half a brain cell has already gone back to better games, and will probably be looking more to stuff like Battlefield or Call of Duty than NMS.

I doubt it will be a significant pull for people, when compared to Battlefield, CoD, Overwatch, Gears and so forth.

Tbh a good chunk of the community is probably playing the game because they don't like other shooters. I think as long as 343 keeps supporting the game at least semi-regularly and hyped up HCS they'll be fine.

I've been seeing some pretty dope Forge-created maps. There was an infection map someone made that was based off of the courtyard area from Outskirts in Halo 2 and it looked exactly like it came from that level.

Regardless, that £20 got me ayylmao and wolfenstein so it was a good trade. I can get two good games and the one part of Halo 5 that isn't shit once I've got my PC.

It is. I enjoy map editors for the creative side of things. I don't make multiplayer maps for others to play on. I usually just do aesthetic stuff.

I mean, I get a lot of enjoyment out of Far Cry and Fallout map editors/ settlement modes and no one's ever gonna see those.

It really is fun to Forge if you know what you are doing. I did that with Reach and I even put up with Halo 4's broken Forge mechanics to make cool maps in that game too.

I made some original maps, remakes of CoD 4/MW2/Black Ops 2 maps, and some classic Halo maps as well. I didn't have a lot of people that helped play test them but its a great feeling to see people play your maps and say good things about them.

Yeah but that fucks your lighting budget if you want to do some cool stuff.
