SKIRMISH AT DARKSTAR
For some new looks at the new Warzone map, be sure to check out today's Gamespot article. To hold you over until next week’s live stream, here are a few more details from the multiplayer team, as well as some new screenshots.

THE MOST CONDENSED WARZONE MAP YET

• Darkstar has more of an infantry focus than other Warzone maps. Dense structures in the center of the map provide plenty of cover and alternate paths for on-foot players, and expansive areas on the map borders provide a playground for vehicles.

NEW START

• The match starts on a map overrun by enemies as Darkstar is initially under control of a Promethean Scout and his forces. Players are Pelican dropped facing the center of the map, the team who gets the Takedown will have the initial advantage.

NEW LEGENDARY BOSSES

• Endurance-of-Will is a higher-ranked and significantly tougher Knight adversary.
• A Promethean Soldier has hijacked a UNSC Mantis.

INTERACTIVE GATES

• Outside each of Darkstar’s Home Bases is an interactive gate that players can open or close to impact the flow of the match.

Not necessarily. Warzone bosses aren't entirely canonical and are simulations.

This does mean that she didn't die on Requiem - or that the UNSC got a good scan of her somehow.

That mode is gonna leave me spoiled. It's really poor for vehicle gameplay since you instantly get lasered, but hell is it ever good for just infantry fuckfests.

Unlike regular warzone where you have no hope of contending against the enemy team who's pulled snipers and rockets out of their assholes while you still have a french fry pistol and your devastating pizza AR.

ENDURANCE-OF-WILL
The result of a damaged essence salvaged by UNSC forces during the Requiem campaign in 2558, the primary combat challenge encountered in the Skirmish at Darkstar Warzone scenario is a Promethean Knight construct whose performance within the simulation is as closely monitored by the Office of Naval Intelligence as the participating Spartans themselves. The impetus behind their interest is unknown.

It is seriously not hard to carry in WZ I single handedly win games most of the time.

I average around 35 kills per game and have maybe bought a total of 15 REQs in the 260 games I've played of WZ.

Only time matching matters is that you are going solo into a lobby full of people. But that has always been a constant in Halo

You know those rapist marines inside bases on Warzone.

I've seen them do a mop up operation on three enemy players trying to take over the base and come out on top. Had those five marines been replaced with teammates in the match the base would've been lost.
