The advanced movement just completely ruins the flow for me.

Maybe it's just me but the thrust shit just pisses me off. It's almost entirely useless unless you want to cover five feet a little faster.

It doesn't perform as intended because of bullet magnetism. How many times has the thruster pack safely placed my body around a corner only for death to show up anyway? Or, I strafe and the pack gently places my dead body around the corner to safety.

Clamber isn't as useless but fuck do I hate the instances where I'm fucking stuck to a rock on the ground that's slightly elevated that I can't just jump over, and clamber doesn't feel like initiating, so I just sit there and die like a lump. Or I make some fucking jump and clamber won't activate for whatever dumb reason so I miss it.

It's frustrating. At least if I failed to make the crouch jump then I could blame it on myself, over something I had control over in the first place.

Well you're wrong. I don't know how else to put it. If what you mentioned is "ruining the flow" for you then you:
1) Don't realize how thrust can be incorporated into your strafing. Thrust makes strafing and movement more skill based than any other Halo. Thrusting the opposite direction of your strafe is a great maneuver for example, and it completely fucks up your enemy's shot.
2) Are completely oblivious to the several trick jumps that involve both crouch jumping and clamber. The jump on truth from bottom car/p to top mid for example.

You can play as much as you want, but if you don't pay attention to the meta (which you seemingly don't) then you won't realize how all the Spartan abilities actually make h5 one of the most exciting competitive Halo games.

Well you're wrong. I don't know how else to put it. If what you mentioned is "ruining the flow" for you then you:

You're thrusting too predictably, and/or relying on it too much when you should be strafing.

You're thrusting too predictably, and/or relying on it too much when you should be strafing.

I do the reverse thrust shit with my walking sideways to avoid bullets. Lo and behold bullet magnetism renders that endevour useless. And I've always walked sideways in a sidewinder pattern since Halo 3. But bullet magnetism.

So frankly, rather than play the bullet magnetism game I just kill the enemy team more effectively by mowing them down with a scout hog.

I've legitimately killed scorpions with DMR fire. I can melt a standard banshee in seconds. Wraiths are too easy since the weak points are on the front of it. Warthogs except for ONI's are jokes.

I should probably clear up that I don't exactly hate Halo 5's enhanced mobility (aside from sprint), they're just not the direction I want Halo to go. The game is still fun as shit but not what I want from a new Halo game.

Oh ya fun fact about the hammer storm update.

This is the first Halo game where the gravity hammer can use its actual AoE attack while you're sitting in a vehicle.

Do hammer drive-by's in scout warthogs.
