Spoiler Halo Mega Thread

Why do people hate Reach? Besides armor lock, its a solid Halo game.

- Sword Block (didn't get fixed until later LOL)
- Armor Lock and armor abilities in general
- Reticule Bloom that was based on luck
- Loadouts
- 90% of the maps you play on are garbage Forge maps that all look the same
- The DMR
- Vehicles are made of paper and had health instead of being dependent on the operator's shields
- The Sniper Rifle is super OP against vehicles
- Slow and inconsistent movement
- Boring, uninspiring campaign with shitty voice acting that's filled with forgettable moments
- Lack of Invasion maps and care for the game mode
- Smaller weapon sandbox than the prior game, Halo 3
- The game wasn't updated until a whole year after release
- No ranking system
- The grenades were nukes
- Only 1 person could watch films instead of multiple people at once like Halo 3
- Buying the DLC was absolutely pointless

Reach was one step forward but two steps back.

Not ecstatic about mouse and keyboard but at least it's playable.

What exactly have they supposedly changed in the MCC? Sound is pretty bad and the exact same problems of poor connectivity and overall bullshit still exist just the same.

Correction: the Halo 2 remaster is the first one I've played that actually feels snappy and good. Got 23 kills in my first team slayer game there.

Halo 2 plays fine. 3 is the one that has somehow gotten as bad - if not worse - than it's original form on the 360. CE plays fine too I guess? My only experience pre MCC with CE was Mexican servers on Halo PC so absolutely anything was a direct upgrade.
