Hm, I like that top one a lot, but the helmet not so much.  The rest of it is nice, though.  Especially the crotch.. mmmm..

What a worthless question.

I could shit out something that's better looking than 96% of Spartan IV armor sets.
When I first saw those things, it sent me into fits.

Halo 4's armour wasn't actually that bad for me. And actually, I liked the default look of the 4's armour. It almost resembles or implies like a beefed up ODST. Which is probably what a large portion of the 4's are.

The problem with 4 was the hideous overstyling. I reiterate my point on this.

Mjolnir was always desinged and built as a universal, all rounder kit. It was designed to be generally the best in all fields in any situation. With the only real exception being small attachments and modifications to the armour like thruster packs for EVA in space, ammo packs and stuff like that.

I think if anything, what 343 should have gone for, and by extesion Reach, was small modular adjustments over entire rebuilds of the suit to suit every single purpose.

Because funny enough, while having every fucking suit type under the sun to do something, you actually lose mobility and flexability wearing a suit that's focused solely in one field.

Essentially, can we not just stick with uniform Spartans?

The helmet in pic #1 is awful, and I've always hated the space diaper.
The Recruit armour (pic #2) is definitely one of 343's better designs. Halo 4 had some pretty good designs, but the majority weren't that good.

Hasn't 343 tortured him enough already? Leave him be....

I don't like the helmet and chest plate on the first one, but it's better looking than Halo 4's armour in my opinion.

i'm inclined to agree with the helmet thing, the guy fucked up a bit on that one.

I only found around 3 or 4 of the armor sets in h4 to be pleasing, it seems 5 is doing a bit of a better job

The best looking armor in Halo 5 (Centurion) only looks similar to an ideal MJOLNIR kit.

Yeah, H5 so far has had some pretty nice sets (dat helioskrill). Definite step up from H4 (even though half of the Beta sets were the better looking H4 sets).

They'll never top their Chief design though. That design is literal sex.

It perfectly captures how Spartans are described; walking tanks, yet fast and agile.

Jacob Potila was actually a Jacob Flotilla of lies.- WarTurkey
Most of the Halo 4 armor looks like they got a bunch of 9 year olds, spiked their Happy Meals with crack, made them play with some Hero Factory bullshit then told them to design armor.

It seemed H1-Reach armor was practical while being stylish at the same time. H4 went over the top with some designs in my opinion. Like why all those sensor nodes? What the hell is that? A Power Ranger? I guess more designs aren't always better. And Recruit Spartan IVs look to similar to ODSTs. All I know is that I want to see some ODSTs in Guardians.
