does this game ever start getting hard combat-wise?
the only times i've ever died were in cases where i just ran out of ammo and had to use the silly crowbar (ravenholm)

yea it's mostly going to be easy, but engaging.... save for some upcoming events where you might die once or twice.

you playing on the orange box? because I remember both episodes had some pretty good combat. died a shitton on episode 2

It's kind of annoying when the default difficulty isn't "the way it's meant to be played". I think Halo did it to inspire replays, but it's weirdly common now.

besides, if i played on hard, i think that would sort of kill the immersion a little bit

because most of the humans can only take a few bullets--it would take me out of the experience if i was like, "how many bullets can this guy take"

plus i just don't like dying
challenges are fine, but the game still has to be, uh, you know, fun
