Frankie confirmed that we have some cools shit for BTB later on in the future. Honestly, I can see the larger vehicle maps taking advantage of spartan abilities way more than crowded arena maps- I never even used the ground Pound once on any map because I never got to a a position to be able to use it effectively. Larger maps can offer more verticality in their design and take avant age if clamber and so forth, especially if aircraft are involved.

Yeah, you're right. AA's are definitely more suited for BTB than classic slayer. Look at Reach, or Halo 4 (without the Mantis). Both really fun, good BTBs that would really benefit from more emphasis. I can just imagine hopping out of a Hornet that's about to explode, clambering onto a ledge of a building, jumping off and ground pounding the enemies that were shooting at you.

I think having 32v32 matches would be the one thing 343 could do to make Halo relevant again. But hey, I'm not Frankie.

All I'm saying is there better be some fantastic revolutionary new BTB mode, perhaps at least 16 vs 16, space battles, etc... Or campaign has to be spectacular, because from playing the beta it felt like I was playing Crysis 2 from 2011. And we need firefight back as well. If we get the same old arena maps, and the standard 8vs8 it just won't feel current gen even with the graphics.

It's one of the main reasons.
the main reasons are bad communication between the devs and the playerbase, the move towards class-based gameplay, and getting dropped from mlg. sprint is just part of the move towards class-based gameplay

You're gonna have a bad time if you think sprint is going to get axed completely.  That'd mean redesigning a ton of the maps to work around a continuous speed, axing abilities like shoulder charge and slide, plus 343 would have to be convinced that their gameplay is still "contextualized". 

I have a feeling they'll nerf it harder, though.  They already have it so your sprint is cancelled if you get shot during the first second or two of sprinting: maybe they'll increase that time.

Equal Starts, Map Control, emphasis on guns grenades melee, accurate and balanced weapons, non-randomized elements.

Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 have excellent multiplayer. Note how MLG dropped Halo afterwards.
Halo CE has excellent multiplayer (even then, compare it to PC Arena shooters, and you realize that Halo CE is casualized as shit for an Arena shooter.). Halo 2 and 3 does/did not. They were mediocre at best thanks to the laughable hand holding and randomness. Emphasis on the "at best".

MLG dropping Halo doesn't really mean anything because games are put on the circuit based on how much money MLG is payed by advertisers and publishers. I don't have a full comprehension of the MLG circuit, but the research I've put in indicates that.

Of course, I'm not denying that Halo Reach and Halo 4 had a base multiplayer that was unsatisfactory and unfit for eSports.
