Have you tried playing it in windowed mode instead of fullscreen? That worked for some people who had problems.

I didn't say it wasn't possible.
There's people running it fine without ini tweaks, so user error isn't the issue. Running a game on an OS it wasn't intended for is the issue.

I get the same problem with Operation Genesis on Win7. Apparently there is a way to get it to work but the absurd amount of faffing around just isn't worth it to me.

I got it to work after searching around on the internet for a few minutes.

Although I can't say whether or not it was easy since I'm pretty deft at editing .ini files and jury rigging fixes (Fallout and TES taught me well).
