His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
I usually turn off voice acting when I can. In some cases, like Devil Survivor, the acting just isn't that good. In nearly every case, it's just suuuuper slow and not worth waiting after I've already read the subtitles for it to finish.

personally, i derive a LOT of entertainment from bad voice acting

it can make an otherwise average game a lot funnier, so it's win/win for me

Not bad acting, just not good. Bland, unimpressive.

sounds pretty bad to me

overacted in the wrong places

imo bland and unimpressive would be the MMO localizations that just sound like normal americans sounding like normal americans in a completely different world

strong accents worked well in skyrim, dragons dogma sounded goofy but fun, like monty python, but if a knight in armor sounded like a new york millenial that would put me out of it, it doesn't work in the context but could work elsewhere for say like watch dogs or gta

Sometimes you just get tired of hearing the same alien dialogue in Kotor.

when it comes to dialogue you literally hear thousands of times over the course of one playthrough, i can totally understand that

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
I often skip Father's dialogue to tell me he's my son and shit. So long winded when you've heard his Institute recruitment spiel 3 times already, albeit impressive the first time you hear it.

Skipping dialogue on the first playthrough/listen(for multiple dialogue options) is a cardinal sin, but afterwords hearing it again isn't worth the time I could be spent doing the rest of the game including parts I've missed before.

Fallout 4 has a lot of this. It doesn't really matter what option you choose for dialogue as most of the time the conversation is driven by the NPC anyway, so after 1 or 2 playthroughs you memorise main character stories and a few interesting NPC's, like the "Chargecard" guy.

it's a disrespect to the troops who put in the time voice acting
