His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
House just wants the monorail to run on time you fucks
A noble goal, indeed.

All the tech in the world and he still can't manage it. Not yet, at least. The day will come when man is the master of a tracked vehicle that can only go in one direction, and it no longer defies time by arriving late.

When that day comes, he who controls the on time monorail controls the world.

Speaking of BoS outcasts, I really think that Fallout 3's main quest should have focused on the Brotherhood civil war instead of the Enclave.

I mean, it could be pretty much as it was up until the bit where you've found Qui-Gon and then shift to the civil war.

Kind of like how the Imperial-stormcloak thing is way more interesting than the dragons in Skyrim.
I think Fallout 4 will focus more on the old school BoS and not the DC chapter, seeing as you're killing them in trailers.

Also on actual lore now that I'm in the mood (huge fallout nerd).

I think Mr. House is the best choice for the place for obvious reasons, but at the same time I think he saves the NCR. The NCR was expanding too quick and with Bush Kimball in charge with his imperialistic and war mongering ways, it only makes it worse. The corruption is bad, people are pissed at the NCR for taking land so rapidly, and yeah, corruption is terrible.

By letting the NCR retreat and Kimball take the fall, the NCR ousts him out (probably) and focuses more on domestic shit and consolidating their borders like with Tandi.

On the comment of Tandi, Caesar brought up a great point in that when Tandi died and the democracy really had a chance to "start", it was quickly overrun with corruption like Pre-war America. If the NCR took over, odds are they're be stretched too thin (they already are when NV starts), resources would be thin, and even more corruption would be going around.

Just my two cents.

I play NCR or Indy sheerly because you don't have to blow up the Brotherhood. Call me a dick, but I actually like the classic Brotherhood/ FO3 Outcasts and can never bear to bring myself to kill them.

Besides, surely having the Brotherhood, Boomers and a massive army of Securitrons, plus whatever you find in Big MT and Sierra Madre and the Strip Families on your side would be able to keep order pretty well.

I mean, my FNV headcanon dictates that the Courier, with the Brotherhood's knowledge at their side, is able to unlock the technologies and weaponry of the Divide, BMT and Madre to basically create a post-war superpower able to rival the Legion or NCR. Complete with a whole dozen silos worth of nuclear weapons and invincible holo-soldiers. In doing this, the Vegas nation slowly grows bigger and bigger, in a shaky NATO-esque alliance with NCR and an active war with Legion.
Also, this has to be the most creative outlook on Indie ending I've seen. Could write a story about that.

:D

Well, House does always say that he depends on NCR for a large portion of his money; NCR travellers are spending hundreds of caps in Vegas every year. So I doubt he wants to destroy them. Just doesn't give one as long as they don't try and interfere with his goals. He even says the same about the Legion, as they are Stopping NCR from overrunning NV. So I follow that logic- NCR would be useful allies so why destroy them?

Sometimes, though, I do think about having an expansion into the North with unifying the tribes like the 80's, Sorrows, Dead Horses and New Canaan. I always destroy the White Legs in Honest Hearts, so I suppose the tribes would like me. Maybe even join me. Though I'm not overly keen on HH in general so eh

In having Nellis AFB/ a B29 Bomber under control, as well as an Enclave Vertibird, I'd even look more into building a small Air Force like the NCR has. Though I guess I'd probably focus on clearing outer Vegas of raiders n'shit before rebuilding much of the city. Maybe even take Vault 3 as well... A vault.

I also like to imagine that the Courier starts making an army of their own from volunteers in Vegas that then go to solidify the Indy hold on the newly-taken Fort, Cottonwood, Nelson, Forlorn Hope, McCarran, Golf, Dam and respective Ranger Stations.

If anyone has played the Dust mod for new Vegas that gives a very accurate representation of what would happen if the NCR won and got control of the Mojave
I was thinking about it.

Honest Hearts was bretty gud up until the ending, where the Sorrows either puss out of town and Daniel regrets leaving Zion for the rest of his life, or they stay and protect Zion from the White Legs and the Sorrows become war mongers (completely invalidating everything the Father in the Cave taught them).

I get that it's a setup for the events of Lonesome Road, what with unforeseen consequences, but it's more frustrating than enlightening.

I just wish that nuking the NCR or Legion in Lonesome Road had an actual effect on the game and it's outcome. It would've been great if nuking them turned the odds completely in favor of one of the factions and ensuring their victory, or if you chose to nuke both, rendered them both extremely weak and easily overcome.

Really? Aside from Graham mentioning Ulysses, it has pretty much no relation to the DLC story. And that one mention felt pretty shoehorned.

Besides that, the HH main quest lasted like, three hours at most. I honestly feel like the Randall Clark stuff was more interesting than the main story.

It's a good DLC for exploring and crafting, but nowhere near as good as the other three.

Yeah. I wish at least someone- house, random troops, whatever- commented on it.

I mean, being able to nuke both factions, then start the MQ and get your reputation reset is pretty broken.
