I remember Transformers War For Cybertron's was ruined by this one "Class Swap" glitch that allowed you to use the weapons and stats of one class with the Chasis of another, most importantly giving the Flyers the health and weapons of a tank.
This wouldn't have been as much of a issue if everyone got to do it, at least then we'd have all been on an equal playing feild, but the guy who discovered the glitch took down the video in guilt, and thus the secrets of the glitch were lost to all but the people that already knew it, untill the game's population died because of it.

I still don't know how OMA both made it to release and never got patched...but they'll sure patch a fucking painting long after the game is dead

Team Fortress 2.

In vanilla, the engineer is a little bit overpowered, because there's nothing in the game that can reliably take out level 3 sentries. You'd think a sapper would be enough--but no. They'll just camp in a corner and make sure the sentry always remains operational. Not to mention, there's usually no friendly fire, so you can just hit your own teammates for spy checks anyway--meaning that spies are utterly useless in vanilla, as far as I've been able to tell.

So, not really "cheating," but exploiting an OP as fuck class tends to ruin vanilla TF2.

Then on PC, there's hackers everywhere. So you can't even play the "good" version and have fun with it.

The game's staff was going through all kinds of issues with Activision's bullshit at the time so the game never got a real patch that fixed it. They fixed tiny glitches here and there but that was it. Besides, One Man Army was never intentionally designed to break the game like that, it was the community that took advantage of an exploit and shared it with the world online.

Halo CE has almost always been plagued by aimbotting, but usually it was only prevalent in non-competitive servers.

It's still annoying to play a modded map, where a guy is consistently landing Sniper headshots across some massive open area as they empty the enitre clip as fast as possible with each shot getting a kill, and spamming the text chat with "No soy un aimbot puto <your name> noob jajajaja," despite the entire server knowing what they're doing without the need for even a simple sightjacker program. Honestly there's only about 5 people online who aren't complete sperglords.

Edit: Disregard, CE isn't that great tbh.

I've played tf2 on steam for like 400 hours, I haven't seen a single hacker.

I neither fear, nor despise.
Cheaters ruin any game that can be exploited it's why they cheat. So this list is going to be too long.

GET GOOD GET LMAOBOX!

If I ever get xbox live again I gotta try playing Team Fortress 2. Hard to guess the average skill level on there, been years since I had xbox live. But I think I could actually play stock spy reasonably well. Do some trick stabs.

Having a 50 in H2 pretty much automatically meant you started lag-switching around 40-45.

Easy to pirate + low resource requirements + good reputation = South Americans galore. It's been that way since at least 2008 too, just with a lower non-beaner population now.

Counter Strike Global Offensive has become absolute ass. Can't play without getting a hacker every 2 games, and it doesn't help that the game has been on sale at half price twice in the last month.
