ME 2 and ME 3 are both dual-disc. One disc is the MQ type stuff and the other disc is everything else. It's a bit jarring when you have to get up and swap when starting a mission, and it's why they're not on XB1 yet (They haven't figured out multi-disc games yet)

Import the character. You can use all weapons in ME2 as a soldier, IIRC, and your decisions from ME1 will cross over (Rachni Queen, save/ kill the council etc)

Your stats effectively reset if I remember correctly. Importing just starts you with XP and your previous choices.

ME2's definitely my favourite in the series, and the only one I enjoy replaying, although I don't think that's a very popular opinion.

Try using the biotic classes. They're the most fun and entertaining. Tech is good as well, but you'll enjoy your first playthrough with biotics more.

I rolled solider in 1 but found sentinel to be far more fun than soldier in 2. So many combat options.

You import your character and then you do the little intro and from there you pick the class you want to play.

I went with Sentinel because it was the most fun to play. You have biotic powers, tech powers, and tech armor to use.

Unfortunately no, you're limited to sub machine guns and pistols. About halfway through the game, you get to pick a new class of weapons to "learn" and you can only one between assault rifles, shotguns, and sniper rifles.

Personally, I was disappointed with that, but the biotic and tech powers are what you're gonna be using the most while as a Sentinel.

Well if you like that, then you'll like the Revenant assault rifle if you pick Soldier.
