Oh btw, to save time fidgeting with mics and what-not:

-Right click the sound button on the windows desktop, select "recording devices"
-Make your mic (whatever it is, inbuilt or your own) the default device

It stops the sound from the game playing over on the mic.

No. Join the Steam group chat instead. Skype will fuck up the bandwidth.

Use Discord. Server hosting is free, less bandwidth and CPU usage as Skype and Teamspeak, and takes 5 seconds to set up.

Yeah it turned out to be a lot worse than I thought. I kept lagging in the menus and people were not able to hear me and shit.
