i was 8 when i was first introduced to halo, and i resented my friends for playing a game they were too young to play

but i'm just saying, that's why i don't think this is even worth making a thread about--no one cares about the ESRB anyway

what games your kids play should ultimately be up to you--the parent

Why so? You don't think children should be exposed to the real world, or in this case, a fantasy representation where most of the worst elements are either removed or turned into things to brofist over and laugh about?

preparing children for adulthood should probably come during your teen years

I disagree, I know about two kids that are like that-one's actually, literally special and the other is flourishing into a future peadophile. The reality is, your utopian preference isn't even possible anymore-better to learn about things through a safe, sci-fi filter than through watching IS behead someone on Facebook (for example).

Plus, saying that real life issues aren't around until adulthood begins is just downright ignorant.
