Games You Want (That Are Too Expensive)

What game would you like to own that just costs too much to be a practical purchase?

To start with an obvious example, Earthbound; the game isn't actually rare whatsoever, but cart-only copies sell for $195. Buying it CIB runs at an average of $573 (in comparison, CIB copies of Metal Gear for NES run at about $70).

Metal Storm for the NES. One of those rare gems that came towards the end of the NES life cycle, the game basically takes the system to its graphical limits. My dad was playing it on his modded Xbox that plays NES ROMs, and he coaxed me into playing it. Such a great game, but one cartridge goes for $100+, if I recall correctly.

EarthBound is like $10 on the Wii-U eShop.

OT: Not really a full game specifically, but the F-Zero X Expansion kit. Getting a 64DD to play it on is $500-$2,500.
