I like Halo ODST/ Reach and Titanfall for scifi, though Mass Effect has some cool stuff.I quite like retrofuturism like Fallout, and Dishonoured was also quite nice.

It's a lot more colourful, but everything looks a bit too cartoony for a lot of people. I love it, but a lot of people preferred the art direction of NV/ 3 which was a bit more gritty.

Unless you mean the cutscene faces, though I always assumed that was simply down to the tech available t the time.anyway I like FO4 so whatever.

The first was great, but still had the tone of a typical dark post apocalyptic story. F2 broke the fourth wall in half the conversations, lol.

Plus, where FO3 and Vegas had a lot of stone (Or whatever) buildings, FO4 looks more futuristic than the others with big metal round skyscrapers and stuff, a response to a lot of grey/ brown complaints about FO3. They specifically designed the new vault suit to be more cartoony and less gritty/ utalitarian than Fallout 3's (They said in interviews). Plus, having better tech also naturally contributes to stuff. It's like how Halo CE, 2, 3, ODST and Reach all have a different aesthetic (Read: good) than 343's, but there's still subtle differences between games because of advancements in hardware and software and the inclusion of new artists. Reach and 3 (For example) have a similar aesthetic but there are still differences between the two.

Both were colorful and bright, that's kind of an expectation when you hear "50s vision of the distant future".
Cuphead.Borrows the classic Disney cartoon style. Amazing aesthetics, I don't think it's available yet.
