You can complete the dex in Gen 1 (I think Gen 2 as well) all by yourself if you exploit simple glitches, which is nice.

How is that different from modding?Modding is the act of crudely Human Centipeding third party software into a game's files, often with little regard for the game's internal logic (ie. whether it makes sense to have Twilight Sparkle running around the Capital Wasteland).Glitches, while not intended to exist by the developers, are still technically part of the game. They are mistakes and oversights--but they're the developers' mistakes and oversights. So I'm totally okay with exploiting them. Not to mention, I've been a PokΓ©mon fan since before I even knew how to read. I've played all the games and beaten them all several times--especially the older ones. I think I've sort of "earned" the right to play around and experiment with the games' many imperfections.
