A character that can 8 second combo to 200% would be such bullshit to face. I can't imagine how much time would be spent on playtesting trial and error for stuff like this, especially in regards to making sure nobody discovers some broken character exploit in the long term.

Realistic predictions:

Shovel Knight- He's been hovering around for awhile, and with that amiibo, it seems pretty clear that Nintendo wants to support the game. I would love to play as him as well.

Wolf- Fuck this guy, but I guess a lot of people really want him.

Snake- Nintendo has pushed out a ton of third party characters with this game, and I think Snake could be the next. He was already in Brawl so that either makes his comeback more or less likely.

Shrek- No explanation needed

That's the major thing holding the possibility back. I feel like Nintendo has good relations with Konami though.
