Goodness gracious, great balls of lightning!
These moon levels from Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando and from Up Your Arsenal always stood out for me. When playing through them, it felt weird. It was like walking around on a giant ball. It was cool because no other game I've played has had levels like this.

Here's some gameplay of what its like on one of those moon-worlds
YouTube

Another one that sticks out for me is inside of the giant worm in Gears of War 2. Going through that level was trippy as hell but I had fun, except for the part where you have to run through that gas hallway and the screen keeps getting blurry as you take too long to find your way out.

I like how halo reach made you think you were going to be in a big battle but then you get rused at the last second and you're barely fighting a firefight while the big war rages on in the background, then again on the space level where you think you're about to do some Star Wars battlefront level dogfighting and you fight a handful of enemies at a time

Now I think about it, why were you even going across that bridge anyway? I mean, how were they expecting to fit a big convoy of 40+ hogs and several tanks down a small dirt track?

But seriously; I always liked how Halo sniper missions give you more ammo than you would be able to otherwise carry (CE and Reach, anyway).

So many memorable worlds in Super Mario World.

With their cutesy food-themed names, like "Donut Plains" and "Butter Bridge" and "Soda Lake."
And the Ghost Houses.

My favorite level is Forest of Illusion 3. Not only is the forest just really cool and spooky in that simple, childlike way--it contains one of the more amusing enemy hazards in the game--it starts suspending Goombas and Bob-ombs in bubbles.

I don't know why!

There are some extremely clever level designs all over Half life 2.
And it's very atmospheric to boot.

Probably my favorite Battlefront 1 map. Pushing through the ice cave and getting that command post outside was fun. It's not impossible to break through

The Arbiter's Grounds in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I wish the Ball and Chain/the charge-up A attack was obtainable before that dungeon, because Crowd Control attacks are fun af when multitudes of those Skeleton things try to overwhelm you. I actually had a hard time dealing with the ReDead knights, and the final Boss was really fun to fight too, despite being a bit too easy.

The healthy man does not torture others - generally it is the tortured who turn into torturers.
