Is there a way I can look at my character's face? I just bought some biker goggles and I want to know how dapper I look.

Hold whatever button you use for third person mode and use the right stick. The button might be L1 or L2.

Tried that. When I try to pan the camera over to my face, my character just starts spinning in place.

Like Dark Souls 1st time playthroughers, it's always fun to see someone basically completely new and unaware of anything in the game, have a go at it.

It helps hype up Fallout 4 for me as well since it's been a while since I've actually seen people say GOOD things about Fallout 3 as they experience it.

Your adventures are fun to listen to because of how invested you are. You're not a big fan of horror. And Fallout, while not being horror centered, has it's rather spooky moments and encounters. It's got it's tense moments, its funny moments, you name it. You're going to react more than the average person. Your investment into the game translates well into your own story telling of encounters.

All of us on these forums are most likely veterans of Fallout to some extent. Your encounters and WTF moments are things that we too, experienced. Listening to your stories is a little bit like putting nostalgia glasses on back to our very first playthroughs.

It's fun.

It's a shame that some of the improvements that came with New Vegas aren't in Fallout 3. New Vegas had great dialogue and companions, some of which I'm sure Verb would enjoy.

Fallout 3 has some good ones too, no doubt, but I got some good laughs out of NV's companions.

Fallout 4 at least looks like the characters and narrative will be far stronger than it was in 3.

you sure mate? cause im pretty sure i came across my first ghoul reaver at like level 13

anyways verb albino radscorpions/ghoul reavers are broken steel enemies; the rad scorpions can be found anywhere in the open wasteland while reavers are only in specific locations

I liked that part too. New Vegas had a lot more interactivity to it.

Heading out to Arefu. Slightly anxious, because I have no idea what I'll be dealing with, I figured I'd peruse Big Town more and talk to some of the folks there. Bittercup likes me--not sure how I feel about that. I'm trying not to get too attached to any of these guys in case any of them bite the dust--a Mad Maxian philosophy I decided to take up after the Megaton incident.

I only need 110 caps. I think BaconShelf gave a rule of thumb early on--if the item is worth 10 times as much as it weighs, pick it up. However, because I may have been a Jew in my past life, I've lowered that factor to 5.

I need to come back to Moriarty with 500 in case he decides to jack up the price again--that way, even if he doesn't, I'll still have a decent chunk of change in my pocket.

I've decided the next time I level up, I'm gonna invest in repairs. I've picked up numerous duplicate weapons that are in poor condition, but I can't repair them, so I'll have to improve that skill. I'll also be able to fix the pipes around Megaton, likely for a decent reward. Code of ethics says I should never ask for money in return for when I do good deeds, but that doesn't preclude my desire for some cash <_<

Time does indeed pass. The farther away the target, the more time will pass.

I'll try to leave Big Town at dawn, then. Give myself plenty of daylight.

You can see current time in the pip boy or by pressing the wait button

On second thought, I'm gonna take a different route. I just had an encounter with a Super Mutant, and yeah... They're a little out of my league right now. I'll find a different way to reach Arefu.

Ah, you've locked yourself into one choice in a quest later then, if you decide to do it. Doesn't matter, though, I'm 100% that's the choice you would make anyway.

I also recommend you raid the supermarket just north of Megaton if you haven't already. There's a lot of good shit there for a minimal amount of work.
