Like, there shouldn't be "quest forfeit" options. That's retarded. It's not like I couldn't solve the quest--I just thought that was the "moral" option to take. I felt like finding all those people would lead me down to the bad karma route.

Game could've made that clearer, or... just... not have that retarded-ass option in the first place.

Like, if I'm basing my entire run on doing the right thing, and someone asks me to do the right thing?
What, am I just gonna not listen to her?... Bad conveyance.

As cool as it is that NPCs don't stay in one spot--they walk around and have conversations and sit down and have drinks and shit--as cool as that is, it's really kind of a drag having to chase these people around if you need to speak to a certain someone. There are some characters who have a tendency to go to certain places, but it's never consistent.

If they had some kind of Marauder's Map or some shit in this game?...

Oh look, I found Pinkerton. On pure accident.

...Could they have picked a more obscure location!?... fucking hell

All right, so he's not gonna give me a cool laser rifle or whatever, but he DID give me Rivet City's true history, so...
That wasn't a complete waste, I guess.

All right, that's it for tonight, I think. Driving lessons tomorrow. I think I'm gonna retrieve the Declaration of Independence next.

Oh yeah verb. The quest you just did is pretty much what links Fallout 3 and 4. Cool little tidbit.

Indeed. They also link it more in the last DLC by mention Doctor Li goes to The Institute. I suspect a cameo.

Yeah. Still looking forward to seeing if the E have any kind of presence in 4. Even in a NV kind of way where they're remnants.

I'm playing Fallout 2 for the first time right now, and I love how threatening and intimidating the Enclave is in this game. They're so much more dangerous than in Fallout 3.

Well they were in Fallout 3, a remnant group themselves. That said, they definitely felt shoehorned into F3. I love the game, but the MQ isn't great.

If we could have joined them, that would be amazing. It always felt wierd that I did their bidding but they still shot at me anyway.

Sorry for the slow updates. There are some days where I just don't feel like playing this game at all, and I'm not gonna force myself to play it, because that's just gonna worsen the experience. The game can get a little monotonous at times--I'm constantly aware of the sluggish pace you tend to walk, and I've begun to notice some patterns in the Wasteland.

If there was a faster way for me to travel, that would be so great. I keep seeing totaled motorcycles everywhere, and I pick up their parts all the time, making me think I can build one at some point <_< But that's probably not gonna happen.

and before you say it, yeah, i've been using fast-travel a lot this whole playthrough
but the shitty thing about fast-travel is that it kinda fucks with your immersion

if there was a happy medium between the two, that would be cool--even a sprinting feature would help

Yeah.

In the Survival Guide quest, how much you do (IE Lie, bare minimum or everything) actually affects the quality of the guide and how people react to it later on after the quest. I always liked things like that.

It's pretty cool. If you just lie and make everything up, then the radio guy just spends half the time slagging you off and you sometimes encounter random wastelanders dead with a copy of the book in their inventory or they get pissed off at you if you save them and tell them you wrote it.

It's why I feel bad for lying in this quest. Even if I'm playing a bad guy.
