now she wants me to place an observer in a mirelurk pod--without killing any mirelurks
Even though they're dumb, I think Mirelurks are my favorite enemies in the game.
Yeah, I got the job done anyway. It was just a matter of self-control. lolEven though they're dumb, I think Mirelurks are my favorite enemies in the game.Anyway, now she wants me to cripple myself. I felt really silly agreeing to it, but whatever. The sooner I finish this survival guide, the better.Intentionally breaking your limbs is harder than I thought.
Jump off bridges in megaton repeatedly.Just save before you do.
Ah, a visit to Rivet City conflicts with one of the main quests. You need to know this rather than spoiler'd because otherwise you'll skip/fuck up the GNR quest.Actually...just don't talk to Dr. Li in the Science Labs. DO NOT TALK TO DR LI.I did that by accident on my first playthrough and it fucked up the main questline a bit...so much so, that I went straight from "Get Moriarty money" to "Go to [place I can't tell you] to find Dad" and never knew the GNR station, or Super Mutant Behemoths existed. It was years later on a re-playthrough I realised I'd actually missed a significant portion of the game. So yeah, DON'T TALK TO DR LI. At least until you complete GNR.

So yeah, DON'T TALK TO DR LI. At least until you complete GNR.Wow, that's fucked up. Seems like an easily preventable thing, too--just make it so Dr. Li doesn't say anything to you until you finish the right quests. But yeah...About not talking to Dr. Li...Don't worry--like I said, I already spoke to Three Dog at GNR. He gave me my mission. I'm not heading to GNR right now--I'm heading to the spot Three Dog wants me to go, which is the Museum of Technology. Rivet City is en route.I didn't see any other route, so this must be the correct path. If not... that's some fucked up game design right there.
Just watch out. In skipping, it auto-fails the previous main mission. Btw, the Rivet City history can be found out without talking to her, but thought you needed a heads up in case of this flaw.

I honestly don't think I skipped anything, though. Hopefully. I dunno, we'll see.
I mean, I do have two main quests in my queue now. Galaxy News Radio and Scientific Pursuits. Is that bad? They don't... seem to overlap, or have anything to do with each other, so I don't think it matters. But I don't know, you got me freaking out now. lol
It means you can listen to GNR wherever you go
Since when did the Enclave spawn this early in the game? I don't know of any random encounters with them that can happen before a certain quest is done.

I don't know of any random encounters with them that can happen before a certain quest is done.I've been thinking maybe it has something to do with my level. Ever since I hit level 8, stronger enemies have been spawning, like Yao Guais and Robobrains. At this point, I'm beginning to roll trains over Super Mutants, as well, so I think I might head to Big Town after I clear up all these new sidequests (assuming they're not terribly long).

One of the strip NPCs who mills around gives it to you. I have over 1,000 hours in NV and I didn't know about this quest. The fuck?
