But...it was either them or bring about doom for every other person in the Capital Wasteland who wasn't a perfect stuck-up Enclave soldier or someone out of the Vaults. And besides, the Outcasts and Enclave sound like a bunch of assholes.

If you have any spare purified water around you could always give to those whiny guys outside Rivet City, Megaton and Tenpenny Tower who can't seem to get enough. That makes you good very quickly.
