Look, I don't think anyone can really EXPLAIN to you the appeal of Fallout 1 and 2 if your mind has already been made up before the conversation started. That literally defeats the entire point of the discussion or debates. Coming in saying with the "i'm right, you're wrong" mentality is just the wrong way to go about it if you bothered to make a thread like this.

What's the appeal of sports games? Same shit every year and lolsprorts

People enjoy them. Same with Fallout. They've released newer games like it, such as Pillars Of Eternity. The reviews that game got, along with it's sales show an obvious interest for it. You said the game was slow. And? Here's the thing. You don't like it. So you won't see the appeal of it. You like it or you don't.

Maybe I should've said "difficulty distinguishing their own enjoyment from others' ". I think there's an argument to be made that some games are just better than others in some objective ways, but that's not really what I meant. A lot of people really enjoy Fallout 1 & 2, so it must've done something right for them.
