i don't mind KH or disney—i mean, it's a lame crossover—but it just seems silly to me that KH3 has been showcased in three separate conferences

Because it's one of the most anticipated games of the decade, it was literally becoming a meme alongside Half Life 3, but this game is actually happening.

So many people whining about women and stuff in these games. BF, AC, TLOU... Fucking hell, why is it that the people complaining about snowflakes are without fail even more so themselves?

Its forced as fuck and you only have to look at the dev responses to see that. Eitherway i dont share the same woes the majority seem to have, i want to see more females because it opens up new character types that you cant do with males.

As it is all these devs are seemingly including females to virtue signal which is just as embarrasing as complaining about the inclusion of females at all.

But that's what I'm saying it's so early in development they probably don't want to do that.

Then maybe it's too early to announce the game? There's a good video on that subject actually, how games are announced too early and how it actually can make a game worse. I'll see if I can find it.

There are exemptions to what can typically be a shady practice.

Yeah of course, I'm not offended by TES or Nioh CGI trailers, they just didn't do anything for me.

I don't see how, confirmation that a sequel is being made always builds huge excitement for it.

Nah it's just good for sales lmao. I'm not claiming Nioh 2 or TES VI will be great games, we have no info. I think they will be good games, but I can't know until they show gameplay. Nothing wrong with announcing the game is coming though.

Thats a good point ive thought about but dont have an answer to. Japs seem to do it just fine with no fanfare whereas western devs roll out the red carpet and spotlights.

I dunno really, maybe compare Beyond Good and Evil 1 to BFV? Youre never going to normalize it if you dont treat it as normal.

I think what`s unnatural in western games about women is how they came out very masculine in result.

excess hype creates unrealistic expectations which lead to disappointment, almost invariably

you don't take games seriously as an art form though so it probably doesn't affect you as much
