I have two PS2s in the house, one's my brother's and it's the original fat black model. The other is my own and it's the Silver Slim model. Both wont read any disc I put into it, they can read the memory card just fine though.

I really don't want to buy a third PS2 that's preowned and liable to suffer the same fate. So I want to repair the ones I have but there's no mom & pop stores in my local area that does console repairs so I was wondering if Gamestop would still repair a PS2 despite being such an old console.

Where else would I go for a console repair?

it's not still in the original packing condition but this is where i bought my ps2s from in the past with no issues whatsoever.

I am not opposed to buying a new PS2, but I'd rather it be the silver slim edition like what I have. Furthermore, I already have two PS2 consoles in the house, why get a third that will ultimately suffer the same fate? And no, I wont throw the other two out. One of them isn't really mine technically and my own has sentimental value, it was my first ever video game console that wasn't a handheld.
