I need to collect at least one of every item in my inventory, if the game allows you to.

If I find a rare item, I will not consume it if it's the only one I have--even if I could really use it.

15 million mini-gun rounds will not cover all the scenarios or encounters in my Fallout 3 playthrough.

The operation anchorage glitch needs to give me more.

I keep the mini-nukes I find in Fallout 3/4 because they're rare and I hardly ever use the Fat Man unless I want to massacre an entire town for the laughs.

In Reach I had almost 9 million cR saved up because I played that game too much when I should have been playing better games instead. I never bought any of the worthless and overpriced armor effects either so that was a reason why I had a lot of cR.

In Skyrim I found every book I could and stored them in my Solitude home bookshelves to make it look cooler. I only read the ones that would give you xp for skills because who didn't do that.

My New Vegas playthrough on hardcore was difficult. I had a lot of trouble carrying weapons or gear back to merchants to sell because my inventory was stacked to the brim with food.

I could never force myself to part with 100 pounds of brahmin steak and gecko meat.

I also hoarded Skyrim books, but I also read them regardless of stat boosts.
I like ES lore.

Aside from that I don't really hoard things. I save up really good items and end up never using them, but I feel as if a lot of people do that.

But everything else would go in a pile outside my house, because there was so much shit I couldn't hope to sell it all.

Yeah. I even did runs to every vendor in Skyrim around mid 20s and couldn't sell all of my stuff.
And like hell I'm actually investing in speech.

In Diamond i hoarded pokes. I would have like 3 to 5 of the same pokemon for no reason.

I hoarded sets of armour and daedric artifacts in Skyrim. Didn't matter if I was going to use them or not, I'd collect them, store them in a chest, and never use them again.

Same goes for dragon bones, gems and soulgems, potion ingredients or just potions. I used to grab every potion visible, and then store the one I never used (basically anything that wasn't a health or water breathing potion, BECAUSE WHO KNOWS, MAYBE I'LL HAVE TO GO IN UNDERWATER FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME.)

As soon as there's a potential use for the items I collect, yes I do.
Otherwise I have no problem with getting rid of things in games.
