nope. there will probably be some stuff you might need prior knowledge to understand fully but its no big deal.

Most likely not, considering the history Fallout releases. They all tend to be self-contained stories with numerous interconnected events tying them all together. Even New Vegas, which is undoubtedly the most story heavy and/or lore dependent game isn't hard to understand on its own merits.

Naw, the Fallout games storywise aren't really connected to each other

The only example I can think of is having played Fallout 1 gives context for Fallout 2, but there's nothing you wouldn't be able to understand without having played any of the previous games

You might hear references to the previous games such as the Brotherhood Civil War. Doing a quick skim of the wiki to get a general understanding of the lore might be helpful, too.

They'll probably only make a few references to Fallout 3. None to New Vegas since Fallout 3 apparently only takes place a few months after 3. Still, I think you'll see Doctor Lee from 3
