Destiny/Rise of Iron

Haven't played since the last expansion, and didn't stay long after beating the raid. Is the new content as grind-y as it's always been? Is it worth getting? I do like Destiny's gameplay and have a lot of friends that play it, but if it's only a few hours of new content followed by grinding the same missions and strike(s) over and over, I'll pass.

Just read a couple reviews and it sounds pretty boring. I'll just hold off until Destiny 2 comes around, then.

Isn't the 10 year thing for the franchise? Destiny 2 is supposed to be out sometime next year; I don't think they ever intended for the game that's out now to last that long. I imagine they intend for characters to transfer over in some way, not that it matters much since your character is basically a lifeless robot among millions.

You can keep your TTK stuff as long as it's Legendary or Exotic

Like VoG and Crota, do you actually get exotics that work from it or is it all pointless crap?

No, they still didn't make the Year 1 stuff infusable, but anything that was in Year 2 can be infused for Year 3

It's better than what they did originally with Dark Below and House of Wolves. Basically just a slightly smaller version of TTK.

All previous raids are now obsolete tho

I heard the raid is good–one of the best. Though, I got bored of the new content before I was even raid-ready.

It's pretty good. Especially if you have people to play with. If you like Destiny, you'll like it. Otherwise... Yeah. Really hoping Bungie nails Destiny 2. Read some rumors a week or two ago. Hoping they're true, especially since that's how I'd hoped D1 would be. And yeah, it's a 10 year franchise, not game. It's always been that way. There's supposed to be 4 games. D2 was supposed to launch this year. They delayed it, and made RoI for a stopgap.
