Remember that first time (if you played Half Life 2) you stepped foot into Ravenholm? What was that like for you?

For me; I still get freaked by that level to this day. It was really the first time I ever experienced something like that in a game with that amount of atmosphere. With its mix of slow zombies with the fast ones, headcrabs and the poison headcrabs and also the unforgettable Father Grigori...

played again, got out, was happy to never go back

Most people say the Fast Zombies but I thought they were easy to kill. The big ones were heaps harder and they had those nightmare inducing moans that they made.

Half Life 3 will do nothing but disappoint people because of people's hype.

Another reason why hyping games is stupid as shit, especially in today's gaming world where it seems 90% of games pushed out are unfinished.

At the time, it sucked... now, it's just the 3rd worst part of the game (behind the car/airboat levels)

Run it on a shit laptop at 20fps and the confusing level design meant it took a few hours to get through.

Father Grigori was certainly interesting though.

I very vividly remember running wildly through the streets after I got off the water tank elevator.
I could hear the fast zombies coming, and by the time I found a room to run into, 5 or 6 attacked me at once.
I barricaded the doorway with an abandoned dresser and a radiator and as they scrambled over it I shot them to pieces with the shotgun and magnum.

Scarred the shit out of me. The first time I encountered that fast zombie I freaked out. The second time I did that level for that zombie encounter I closed the door and went "Nope".
