Dark Souls Thread

Fantastic

Only got about an hour into it last night due to season pass fuckery, but I'm enjoying it so far, minus the wave after wave after wave of Wolf spam to give off the impression that it's challenging.

And since I finished my current NG+4 playthrough with the Lord of Hollows ending, you get special dialogue.  Thought that was interesting.  Also noticed that knight at the castle/church door (don't attack me, I didn't get to play much last night) is wearing Fallen Knight armor without the worn and ragged look.  I'm guessing that Farron and the Abyss Watchers will have some history with Ariandel.

Are the wolves as annoying as dogs? I fucking HATE dogs in DS.

They're pretty weak, but attack in packs of 5+ at a time.

Thankfully I just cheesed it with my pyromancy but it was still annoying as fuck.  They also do shit like circle around you.

So...that was it for the DLC?

Hoping the second expansion will be better, this one just seemed half-assed.

Main DLC boss is a cock sucker.

I wasn't surprised with how short it was overall though, DS2's DLCs were all short as well.
Luckily there were at least a few secrets to go exploring for.

Does stage 2 of the Freide fight remind anyone else of O and S? The slow hard hitting boss and the quicker, somewhat lighter hitting boss that stick close to each other. Maybe it's just me getting those vibes.

It's sad how quickly ds3 became irrelevant.

What went wrong?

No room for creative builds in pvp

Real barebones as fuck gameplay with the illusion of flash and appeal

Dumbfuck decisions that were a step backward from good design elements in the first and second games

Honestly, they should have let Big M design the campaign and PvE. And let B-Team design the pvp.

you don't know difficult until you've beaten watchdog or amygdala cursed.

You have to beat Cursed dungeon to unlock the Pthumeru Ihyll dungeon so yeah, I beat them. I found this dude WAY harder.

He's tough, but no way. Plus, he can be parried. Cursed watchdog is the hardest boss in the game imo.

I got the Platinum trophy today, not really much for me to do in the game now. Plus my PS subscription ran out

Going back to DS1 after playing so much Bloodborne feels weird as shit. It feels like I'm trying to walk underwater.

I never thought I would say this, but I need to make a build that will counter mages in Dark Souls 3. They're scary in the arena.

Instead of actually looking at what dks2 actually improved on and taking that into account, they were obviously scared to do that again and just wrote the whole thing as a tribute to one.

Nooooope, I just haven't been able to play at all because college. Because when I play, I don't just play--I'm recording and taking notes and shit, so I know exactly what to say for each update. It's just been hard lately.
