Parrying and the insane damage that people can do with critical attacks is probably the most annoying thing about PvP.

It would have been nice to see a ring that mitigates the damage from critical attacks, similar to the way the Dragonscale ring reduces damage from backstabs.

So the final Build i'm looking at right now
SL 120 (Assuming this is going to be the "meta" level)

25 Vigor
30 Attunement (it seems I don't need so many spells for PVP)
20 Endurance
10 Vitality
18 Strength (I over-leveled it thinking i'd be using a larger weapon)
25 Dex (Maximizing spell speed + Weapon requirement)
60 Intelligence (Spell Damage + Weapon Scaling)
12 Faith (Weapon Requirement)

Undead Legion set (there is no Lion-Hexer equivalent as far as I know so might as well look nice)

Bellowing Dragoncrest and Young Dragon Rings (for spell power)
Sage Ring (Spellcasting speed)
Chloranthy ring (Stamina recovery)

Cleric's Candlestick (Casting Sword with A scaling in Int)
Grasscrest Shield (Increased Stamina recovery and able to parry)

Any suggestions.

The DLC are some of the best parts of the game, if you have access to them. Other than that, soul memory was pretty terrible for pvp as you probably already know.

I never played any of the crown stuff, so I'll be sure to do so this time around.

Poise being disabled may have something to do with the fact that you can parry out of a stunlock as some kind of balancing factor. I still don't like it, especially since alot of enemies like the Ascended Winged Knights don't even so much flinch when you blast them with fucking soul streams, and then in PVP you get knocked out of a Zwihander swing in full fucking Havels by estoc spam because of it.

Thinking of playing through these games soon, which one should I start with? I'm thinking I should go with 1, but my brother thinks 3 is easier and I should start with that. Any thoughts?

Doesn't really matter which order you play it in, but if you play 1 first you'll understand more of the lore and references, and have access to all the DLC. Don't start with 2.

After he killed me an NPCs summon sign was gone and never showed up again. I continured on and got the Item I needed to complete the quest but fact remains that for some reason the summon sign was gone forever.

As far as I know, no summons are required to advance quests, except for the few where you're summoned by an NPC.

The worst part about dark souls is that it makes other games feel like shit

Like compared to dark souls, when I just tried to play the witcher 3 it felt like I was slogging through pudding and the combat was like some Mario party shit
