Gone back to Bloodborne. Honestly, this game is so much better in almost every way, at least from the perspective of a solo player.

Currently getting fucked up by Logarius as always.

I think Champion Gundyr is my favorite boss of the game.

I mean I know we're probably sick of the 'guy in armor' bosses since DS2, but Champion Gundyr was just fun as hell to fight, mano e mano. I find his moveset really interesting, and I love how it keeps you on your toes. Especially in the 2nd phase, where he starts going all Star Platinum on your ass and starts hitting you with 1000 hit combos lol.

One of those bosses that just feels incredibly satisfying to solo, dodging like a madman and getting a hit in before rolling again.

What did you think of the fight? Fun or frustrating?

It is pretty disgusting how my +10 dark sword currently does considerably more damage per hit, more critical damage, hits faster and drains less stamina than my Corvian Great Scythe at +9. The lack of poise really hurts weapon variety and viability when estoc and straightword R1 R1 R1 reigns supreme by being faster, more accurate, inflicting more damage, uses less stamina and has obscenely good tracking.

Totally, I just see straight swords and katana everywhere.

I haven't really done much pvp until 3, but so far it's pretty annoying. I know there aren't codified rules, but when I get summoned it's pretty frustrating for the host to stand by and watch me fight invaders that are chugging rather than helping.

Well I think the problem with DS2 wasn't necessarily that there were a lot of guy in armour bosses, it's more like all the guy in armour bosses just had 3 attacks. 3 horizontal swipes, overhead slam and a poke thrust. Whereas Champion Gundyr is like a graceful ballerina with a halberd with a lot of different moves. So I thought it was pretty good.

Did my first playthrough the other night and damn have I enjoyed this game so far. Started NG+ earlier today. Nameless King was the best fight imo.

PVP started a little frustrating but I've warmed up a little more to chugging like dishonorable bastards, hunter charms are here for a reason. Not to mention my favorite weapon, the Dragonslayer Swordspear, which dunks on everything in my path.

I'm real privy to how I've dressed my guy. Like some ragged monk.

I just invaded some dude and it took a good 20 ish minutes to actually take him out. He had a sunbro with him and it was a really intense game of cat and mouse. In the end they got cornered by one of those baby dragon things and the sunbro died so the host started running like fuck, right into that snakeman clusterfuck at the end lol.

The only time I involve NPCs when I'm invading is if I've been put right in the middle of a gank squad. Then I protract out the fight and try to get them killed off one by one.

I beat him first try, with little effort.

Either I was way over leveled or his fight style didn't bother me.

Looking forward to going at it again in ng+.
