Half Life 2 also came out 11 years ago. It got me thinking...what if Halo tried to incorporate some simple puzzles? Actually now that I think of it it wouldn't seem possible without a utility tool like the Gravity Gun, or at least a co-op partner. I'm hoping that maybe there will be a little bit of platforming in Halo 5 now that we can clamber. Clamber and jet pack would have been a nice combination to see.

Just for Halo 2 Anniversary alone, it's worth it.
The Anniversary multiplayer? It's not the same as the campaign sadly. It's a beefed up Halo 4 engine basically.
It mostly feels like Halo 2, but it has some differences.

But the fact that you get technically 6 games for the price of 1:

Halo CE
Halo CE Anniversary
Halo 2
Halo 2 Anniversary
Halo 3
Halo 4

Yeah.......it's worth it.

The Matchmaking works, but joining with friends is problematic even still. some people do fine, but I just can't play with friends without having someone getting kicked.

No you get four games that you probably already own. Halo CE and CEA are the same games and Halo 2 and Halo @A are the same games. Updating the graphics doesn't change anything.

Bungie had the choice of making Reach a good game instead of the utter shit it is.
Halo 4's MP is the only thing that "disgraces" the franchise (even though the MP is actually fairly solid, but just very different). It excelled with the campaign, unlike Bungie's Halos (namely 3, and especially Reach's dogshit campaign).

4's story felt like a bad fanfic. Too many new characters that really brought nothing to the table. Its not just the MP that's bad; its the gameplay of the entire game that is bad. Loadouts, AAs, killcams, lag, glitches, sub-par music, etc. Its Destiny reskinned as a Halo.

Halo 4 is deeply grounded in what Bungie already laid out. Character development (something which is pretty absent from Bungie's games), and a consistent plot throughout the game *cough*unlikeHalo3*cough*

I think Halo 5 will be a good game, not a great game. That is unless the campaign truly wows me with dazzling environments and huge sandboxes where large scale battles take place. Give me a bizarre environment that feels truly alien. And please, the campaign needs to be longer than eight missions. We need something new in addition to the classic multiplayer. What will it be? Spartan Ops was a failed experiment. I need to see something truly next gen. I don't think Halo will ever live up to 1, 2, and 3 for me because of the nostalgia; I've been playing Halo for almost 14 years, as old as some of you. All my hopes rest upon DICE and Battlefront this year to truly deliver the next gen experience I have been waiting for, not to mention a game I have been waiting for for a decade.
