Nintendo easily had the worst start for this generation of consoles.
Sales were bad, no software caused sluggish Console sales.

But look at the Xbox One (I can't speak for the PS4 since I don't have one and don't buy their games obviously). The Xbox One was selling itself on The Master Chief Collection. And guess what? It doesn't work. Glitches galore, broken matchmaking.........many people have refused to buy the game because they simply cannot play it.

Same thing with Destiny on all platforms. It's a huge disappointment and many people regretted buying a console JUST for that game.

Nintendo has one thing the Xbox One doesn't: when they launch games, they actually work.
They are not rendered unplayable and unenjoyable by glitches or simply selling incomplete games. As I said, I can't speak for Sony but do you think Nintendo can ride this wave of good fortune into the top spot in the industry? If anything 2nd place?

Smash Bros offers a WEALTH of content. More than Destiny and in some poeples' eyes the Master Chief Collection. And that is one game. They are launching game after game and going strong.

Unless Nintendo can come up with new IPs I don't see them doing as well as what the Wii did. Sure the Wii U is going to sale at some point, but I don't see it being above the Xbone or PS4. Nintendo is too child friendly which I see turning people away. There's no reason why there isn't a M rated library for Nintendo. The other thing about the Wii U I see turning people away is that it's weaker than the Xbone. Even being weaker than the PS4 it's still on the same level as it where they both share games. With the Wii U the hardware gap is so far behind that it is going to be missing out on games. The Wii sold on the motion gimmick which sold because it was new. With the Wii U it's only selling factor is that screen controller which isn't pushing out systems that great. .

The Wii U didn't sell as well at launch, but it's doing good now. And the 3DS is great

What the Wii U lacks in raw-power; it makes up for in quality gaming experiences, class, and "wow, that's new!" moments. The Xbone and PS4 are powerful, especially compared to their predecessors, but there is little to no innovation in both the software and the hardware. Even the "new" features aren't exactly new. Easy streaming capabilities, mediocre video editors, and voice commands are all nice, but they're nothing new, and often worse versions of what you could already do.

The Wii U gives you a TRUE feel for something new. The way the gamepad changes gameplay, off TV gameplay, miiverse, etc. The innovation doesn't stop at the hardware. Nintendo has crafted up some of the best games in years. Super Mario 3D World being the best 3D platformer since 2010's Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Kart 8 being the best racer in years, and Smash Bros. being the best fighting game in years, hell, possibly one of the best games, period, in years.

If you care about quality games, you would see that the Wii U has more titles than any other new console.

The company that made the Xbox One. Which is a giant, underpowered, overpriced piece of shit.

Its a "pretend" "hardcore" console that's marketed towards 12 year old Cod fans. All of its decent exclusives are dudebro shooters and all of the 3rd parties are worse versions of the PS4 games.

It had a bad start, but ok games... PC will always reign supreme though

Hardware doesn't automatically mean good games you know (the PS4 and Xbone are underpowered too, by the way).
The PS2 was the weakest console of the 6th gen, and look how that turned out. It ended up being the best selling console to date with a plethora of great games.

Plus Nintendo aren't even competing with Sony and MS for the mainstream market, so they're not at the bottom of anything.
