Depends on how it's ranked.

By sales or by gaming population, it might well be the "best". It's easier to rank things with quantifiable scales like population or profit over qualitative indicators (e.g. The opinions of millions of people, of whom CoD would probably still rule out because of it's mass population of kids who love it overwhelming the sane people who think "it's alright, I guess, but not the best")

Let's be honest here. Does anyone actually pay attention to the Guinness Book of World Records besides K-8 graders?

Damn. I never knew there were that few of us out there. We must have a shit load of money other wise each gaming system would only have 5,000 sales and it would be the same with games. These game Developers must have been faking their numbers to be in the hundreds of thousands as well. Does anybody else here enjoy their house that's made out of thousands of gaming systems?

Mass Effect is objectively great. Kingdom Hearts is too.

ME1 is objectively great. ME2 is good. ME3 is okay up until the end.

Mass Effect is a product of its time... decent storytelling, uninspired gameplay, aesthetically pleasing. Definitely not an all-time great, but I wouldn't say terrible
