Is Witcher 2 worth playing?

It's free on BC for a limited time right now, so is it worth getting?

Would it require foreknowledge from TW1 to understand, and how well does it fit with TW3?

Furthermore, is the combat and general gameplay a good way to understad what TW3 is like? So, if I end up enjoying/ not enjoying this, would I then have a good idea of what my opinion of 3 is?

It's free, so it's not like I'd be losing anything. Nevertheless, I don't really want to waste time with it if TW3 is massively different to it.

Don't listen to that faggot. The Witcher 2 is an amazing game. Not as easy to get into as The Witcher 3 though.
