Let me reiterate that ADS/zoom in is a simple Spartan Ability, meaning not everybody will have it and those that will use it are your snipers and people who heavy rely on distant kills. It's a small boost that helps them, and nothing more major than thatGround Pound and the other abilities play along to specific play styles. 343 has a very well-known competitive Halo player (Bravo) as an employee and I'm sure he has put in input on how to give the game a fresh feel while still having a balanced core
