Fun fact: Bungie's Chicago Studio was above a crack house and doubled as a drug den.

There is a story about it, that I would like to tell you.

One day, Alex Seropian was working on a college project that he called Operation Desert Storm. It was a neat little video game that he hoped to sell, but he was unsure of his he should do it.

A man stumbles in, high of his ass and literally autistic on crack, ave behind babbling incoherently about "Guarding  travel" or something.

He meanders into the corner, where an aback Seropian I'd wondering why the crazies can never ever into the apartment next door.

The stranger drops his pants to his ankles, and grasps the nearest piece of paper. He shoves it into his asshole and begins examining it to see how much blood was there from taking the drug dealer downstairs' dick all day.

We'll just call him, Activision.

"Hey!", cried Seropian.
"That's my business model, you can't write your ass with tha-"

He stopped short.
"Actually, this is genius! Who are you?"
"Name's Jason Jones, you got any crack?"

"If you keep using yours to give customers the next big thing in public relations, tbh then you can have all the crack you want."

And Bungie was formed.

It really is hard to believe how a company who were originally the owners of a fan-favorite FPS for quite some time (years) could now be at that state where they give an "IDC" to the fans who supported since the start of other projects like Marathon. Also, the greedy foes Bungie has become since people like Joseph Staten or Marty (Go ahead and 100% blame Bungie for that one) have left the company. Campaign in H3 could also explain this considering it lacked a story for the most part.

Changing of the staff. It's not the same people anymore that was in the studio 10 years ago. It's 2000 newfags.

Random developers leaving wouldn't make the slightest difference, and would get replaced by some other random developer.

I'm talking about more than just those 2 leaving. We lost Chad Armstrong, Frank O Connor even. They went to 343. Does anyone even remember Jeremiah? And is Tyson Green still there? What about Ske7ch?

And that's the thing, when the majority of the staff is replaced by new people, the company changes and it's not the same studio anymore.

If I went to a tea shop and a nice old man is there selling me tea and it's good customer service and good tea, I'll come back. But if that old man dies and his replacement is a douchebag that sells shit tea, I'm not going to that tea shop anymore, because it's not the same anymore.
