Performance aside, they moved so many thing to unecessarily hidden places. Then there is also the split apps installed from store and the programs in Control Panel. So some can be only uninstalled in the App list and the rest are in Control Panel.

Selecting an audio input source is also a pain on Win10.

You probably can. By the way, funny thing about Win 7 and above is that it enforces VSync on anything running in window and borderless, making input lag bigger. You can work around that in Win 7, 8 and 8.1, but not Win 10

That's why I'm asking, it's incredibly frustrating if you're trying to run dual monitor and shitpost while waiting for a game.

Yeah, you right, it just boggles my mind that linux beat win 10 to that. Like windows is particullary good for gaming, that's one job it did well all the time, but now gets by beaten by linux, like lmao. On NVidia.

My problem with this is that it showed custcenes only. Gameplay snippets would have helped also.
If I were to guess, Win10 has some data collection subroutines that can impact even Gfx cards.

Wonder if disconnecting from the net has any performance improvements.

I think the reason why Win10 perfoms worse is because it works worse with Vulkan. Actually Win 10 can't accomodate last version of Vulkan runtime libraries without losing 5% of perfomance, so it uses older "game-ready" version of it.

Edit: Although Minecraft Java also works better on Linux.. hmm, maybe it's not about Vulkan after all...
