Breath of the Wild thread

Nintendo, seemingly intent on making this the most exciting day in gaming, has released three new gameplay trailers for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

One focuses on exploration in the newly open world, another concentrates on combat and hunting, and the third is a single, four-minute shot showing off the game's dynamic weather.

Seems Nintendo stealth-dropped three new BotW trailers in the midst of their Switch reveal.

Thoughts?

I haven't seen much outside of that confirmation trailer and don't really feel the need to. I'm not hyped but I like Zelda so I'll probably end up getting it.

First trailer: That fan at 1:13...would not work.

But really though, it looks so good. Can't wait to play it.

Nintendo franchises are solid day 1 buys 99% of the time. I'll definitely be getting it at launch.

The game looks like a lot of fun, but I feel as though Nintendo isn't showing me what I want to see. They're focusing a lot on little things that you can do and not much else. They're going for a mysterious vibe with this title, and that worries me.

On one hand, it's a breath of fresh air (no pun intended) because the lore has been pretty heavy-handed in previous games. This would be rather nuanced for the series, which would be cool. However, many developers fail to pull off subtle lore-telling. Dark Souls did it best, and Destiny is one of the worst offenders of the strategy.
