Is 7/10 even a bad score to begin with
would the game's shitty DLC practices affect your opinion on the game itself?
should the purpose of game reviews be to evaluate art, or to advise consumers?it's hard to have both because they don't really mix well
i won't be playing for the next couple days due to midterms

I think one of my few problems with BOTW is the lack of a compelling villain. Don't get me wrong, Calamity Ganon looks cool and is interesting lore and story wise, but I don't think he's anywhere near as interesting or menacing as the Wind Waker Ganon.

Which is scary in its own right, but on a grand adventure it doesnt feel as much of a problem as it should. The Blood Moon reminds you of it, but nothing that really seems to put Link solely in danger. Its a shame too, I agree
Idk Ganon as a character just seems way less interesting than he used to be.
Vah Ruta (Zora) spoilerThis is the only divine beast I've done so far, but I found the boss to be somewhat unintuitive after he raised the water.Using the arrow the first time to hit his eye that he was protecting was obvious enough, and maybe I didn't notice, but I saw nothing that would have hinted at shooting it a second time to make him fall. I spent a good amount of time thinking that I needed to do something creative with my ice blocks, but no - it was a lot simpler than that. Maybe I'm not in the right mindset, because I usually hoard my arrows and never feel expected to unload on them, but that fight was a little disappointing.
I personally haven't played yet, but What do ya think about this perspective on the brittle weapons?YouTube

Shoot the eye, slash, repeat. Pretty disappointing that they're all basically the same.
At least Vah Ruta himself was fun to fight.I'd imagine it's less fun if you refuse to utilize the gyroscopic aiming, but yeah.
