Bloodborne players in a nutshell

And make no mistake, I'm not trying to get you to like it. I stopped that foolish notion years ago. I was just queuing you in on how Bloodborne changed how invasions work. Funny enough, most people I've talked to are pissed about it because it makes PVP sessions take a lot longer to start up.

Verb, please reread that first sentence. I like to be invaded . Meaning I'm consenting to invasion, and the invader is consenting to invade. I WANT to be invaded, otherwise I wouldn't hang around in major PVP zones and waiting for someone to take the bait.

if it's like in street fighter where you can create a lobby and have people join, then yeah, okay

I'm playing a game that features being invaded by other players. To make sure it happens, I make sure I'm human/ring the beckoning bell and wait in heavily populated areas.

Because fighting AI gets boring sometimes and fighting people is fun. I like the combat, but outside of hunter/red phantom fights, I never feel like I'm toe-to-toe. My enemies are either way above me or way below me. The former are fun sure, but again, the scenario can only run so many ways when you're fighting AI.

And you're assuming it pisses me off- it doesn't.

No, I wasn't. I was surprised, I admit, but I wasn't pissed. It was adrenaline pumping because every fight I had before that was against AI that could be beaten by just doing slash > back step > slash. For the first time in the game (at the time), I was fighting something that actually made me play smart.

just because YOU are okay with being invaded doesn't mean other people are
that doesn't make it a good feature that needs to stay in the game

They get x amount of souls for winning, or humanity, or whatever kind of item it is for the covenant they're in.

Its essentially drop in-drop out PVP. You don't even have to stop playing to search, it just throws the person in your game when he connects. Plus, if I haven't cleared an area, I have to be mindful of the AI as well. So I get a two front battle, which is even more fun.

I like people invading because I know they have the intention of trying to screw me over, then I shove it back in their face. And on the flip side I like invading to mess with people and try out new builds.

Well, I only like being invaded sometimes. If I'm pushing to get to a boss, I find it insanely annoying.

Edit: But it boils down to me liking PvP in souls anyway, so of course I'll say I enjoy it.

Well there is a reason. It's a risk reward to push ahead and lose the souls (money) you've collected, or turn back and go to a bonfire/merchant to buy or level up things. Otherwise you could simply farm all day without risk.

Though there is a ring that you can equip to if you die you don't lose anything.
