You know this entire strip could've been shortened down to one panel, slightly larger to accomodate for the kink shop sign, and been completely silent, and it would conveyed the same point a hell of a lot more clearly without all the rubbish in the way.

Spoiler

Woah man, this kind of thinking is lost on shitty comic makers.

You have to explain your joke in detail to make sure everyone can understand it and think its funny. Cause you know, "Brevity is the soul of wit" holds no meaning.

To be fair I don't even know what brevity means.

So....yes.

I would say the game is not that hard and just has a steep learning curve, but I guess that still counts as difficulty.

"Ornate chandeliers suspended from a vaulted ceiling lit the spacious chamber; Jack tilted his gaze overhead and noticed how far away they were.  His thoughts wove around those bright lights, like a dance of ether masses spiraling in precious unison. Why must we try to clutch desperately for the mere threads of this world when we can clasp onto a tapestry of untold magnificence beyond this plane of existence?"
I have that game it's ghey

Honestly none of the Souls games are as hard as everyone makes them out to be.

His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.

Something is hard if it requires a good amount of endurance or effort. Therefore, Bloodborne's boss fights are usually hard.

To me it looks like Bloodborne is more refined than Dark Souls.

You heal instantly and faster than if you were using estus flasks and the player looks like he might be more agile.

I feel a lot of Bloodborne bosses are cheap. Like Father Gascogine for example. He can knock you down, and while you're in the animation of getting up, can still hit you. I find that crap to be rather BS.

Or how the Blood-Starved Beast just grabs you, poisons you, and then you take your sweet time getting up and try to heal, but he only leaves you with a small amount of health, so you just get up and die.

I know you can easily "avoid" these things in a fight, but it's stuff like that that's annoying.

You know you can roll in any direction and instantly get back up if you get knocked down, right?

And just dodge behind a pillar to antidote and heal.

For example, placing a large number of invincible minor minions between the player and the Plot Coupon is extremely annoying, but they can be avoided by skilled movement - thus, the difficulty is real.
Note also that fake difficulty is not inherently bad. If used subtly, it can provide a satisfying challenge in cases where the AI might be lacking.
lol

that's the only part i disagree with

i guess it's not inherently bad, but if we were to discuss game quality, then yeah, it's inherently bad

No no, when you get grabbed by the BEAST, you get locked with her throwing up on you, then the moment you get up you die. I understand you can avoid attacks, but when you get hit yeah.

And I tried to dodge with father GAHGHSGFOSG hit you, but yeah you can't. There is one animation where when you get knocked down, he gets a free hit on you.

I've fought him five times across three characters, I know what move you mean lol. I'm saying that the second you get knocked down, and you can click roll and a direction and you'll move out of the way. You're not stunned when you're on the ground.

Also that sounds like you haven't put anything in vitality. I would be very low on health after that attack, yeah, but I always survived it if I had full health.

you could always read the article i posted about it lol

like, if a game has an enemy that kills you in one hit, and the only way to avoid it is by some obscure method, that's fake difficulty

it doesn't take skill to dodge an attack, and it doesn't mean you're unskilled if you die a hundred times
it just means you didn't know a piece of useless trivia

it's difficult to define what "real" difficulty is--you just kinda know it when you see it

if someone says "wow this game is hard in a cheap way"

i'm going to assume they're telling the truth

especially if it's a game in a franchise that i fucking hate

I can understand BSB in a way, but not the attack itself. The animation to take an antidote takes way too long; by the time you're almost done you're either dead by poison or the boss caught up to you.

Gascoigne is different though. The only move that stun locks you is the blunderbuss, and you can do the same to him with your gun.
