BF1 Beta feedback thread

It's fun I have been enjoying it especially the gunship against an unorganised team, I was on the same one for nearly a whole match just plowing through. Guns are fairly standard I haven't noticed any discrepancies in any of the games I played, no red dot sights and holos is a nice change. I only got to use the entry level guns even though I was like level 10. Nothing was unlocking for me which is strange

Seems they either fixed it overnight or I just played enough to unlock stuff

Either way I've got the gewehr 98 for scout and all the assault gadgets I needed, not really touched the other two classes.

Played more today, when the ddos ended about two hours ago

Yeah it went up at 10pm GMT, three hours ago thereabouts. Took a couple of tries but we got in fine on the xbone, dunno if PC servers are still having shit but i'd give it a shot.

It's down across all platforms. They opened the flood gates for everyone and you got on when people are home from school and coming home from work. Try like at 8 tonight.

I can connect now, but not get matched into a game, says error, matchmaking failed every time.

It's been like that for me since 3 this afternoon.

It's. . . Okay.

The Support and Medic classes are next to useless, although the Medic rifles are pretty decent. The map is dominated by fairly long-range engagements, so snipers rule supreme which can be annoying, but running with an unscoped Gewehr or Russian 1985 can be good at mid- to long-range. Tanks are OP as fuck, made worse by the fact that the class levelling system is broken so nobody really has the Tankgewehr and the only way to get one is on the capture point furthest away from any real action. The game has a 20 minute time limit, so you'll pretty much never get full tickets/see the train. The gun-play feels kind of. . . Weird; the SMGs are only good at close range and there's little point ADSing unless they're halfway across the village, the LMGs get more accurate the longer you fire, the semi-auto rifles are decent but you can't fire them very quickly and maintain accuracy. The bolt action rifles are decent.

Oh, and the servers are currently down due to a DDOS attack.

Medics are fantastic mate, you can revive the same person multiple times over and healing is never not unuseful. No idea about support, no one ever seems to be one. The one map we have doesn't really need it, unless you want to ohk the train with mines.

Rocket gun is also best girl.

That said the train shouldn't be able to be ohk'd by a single person on foot, its suppose to help the losing team not give the winning team free kills.

Medics are fantastic mate, you can revive the same person multiple times over and healing is never not unuseful.

I say they're useless because of the shitty spawn/revive system DICE has decided to go with. It's certainly possible (and enjoyable) to play as a Medic decently, but the game dynamics make it unnecessarily frivolous.

Ive tried that and it hasnt worked for me

That said the train shouldn't be able to be ohk'd by a single person on foot, its suppose to help the losing team not give the winning team free kills.

Can't say this happened for us, both Psy and I were throwing anything that exploded at the train and it wouldn't give up, even AT mines.

You can purchase any weapon without rank requirement on Battlefield.com

Go to your loadouts under career and spam click the buy option whilst refreshing the page. It didn't show up for me on the site as purchased, but they're displayed in game.

So after playing for a bit, I have a few opinions on things

1. I think they should increase the submachine gun's damage ever so slightly, because right now it honestly feels insanely weak. Enemies feel bullet spongey when using it. You have to be touching tips for it to seem to be really effective, but like 10 yards out it feels much weaker (that's not very far).

2. The semi-auto guns on the medic class sound amazing to fire. The metallic clang is lovely

3. Weather change like the sandstorm MGS V style, is really really cool. Good way to counteract snipers on that map.

The Medic's Rifle is my new favorite gun in Battlefeild

Kinda annoyed I didn't get a perfect chain-sweep but I did kill him after reloading

Haven't played yet, but have watched my brother trampling turks and cutting down cavalry on a horse whilst shouting: "HUSSOOOOOOR!" Roleplaying as Flashman has become a reality.

Other notes:

-Mondragon is OP semi-auto in a world of bolt actions (despite that gun being designed for mexicans who then failed to pay up) .

-Bayonet charging is an excellent retreat tactic if you need to run away fast

-(F?) flag is useless. Who the fuck at DICE thought putting a flag in bumfuck sandland would diversify the 2x3 flag layout in the main area?

-Horse jousting with bolt action rifles is a gentleman's sport, and hilarious to watch.

-Plane combat looks fantastic, though can take an age to take down an enemy and shooting spotted infantry is virtually non existent.

-Not sure about PC, but it looks amazing on PS4. Bomb craters, glistening sand, fully enterable (and mostly destructible) buildings, rock formations. Clearly Star Wars Battlefront was just a tech demo.
