Best Headset for Xbox One/PC?

My pair of Turtle Beach X42's are finally starting to die out, I'm in dire need of a new headset. I was wondering if I should get another pair of Turtle Beaches, go with the Stereo Xbox One headset, or maybe try a different brand entirely. What do you use? I'm mainly concerned about the headset being Xbox One compatible, bonus points if it also connects to PC.

Astro a40s. Get what you pay for. Sound quality is pretty great and the mixamp is amazing. Works great on x1, aside from some extra cables.

Well you can buy the headset separately for $150 and then a used mixamp on eBay for like $30-40 so you save $50ish
